doTERRA Fractionated Coconut Oil is a natural carrier oil that readily absorbs into the skin, making it ideal for topical delivery. Its feather-light emollient effect provides a soothing barrier without clogging the body’s pores, making it an excellent moisturizer for dry or troubled skin. It leaves the skin feeling silky smooth and non-greasy, unlike other vegetable carrier oils. Fractionated Coconut Oil is completely soluble with all essential oils and is colorless, odorless, and stain-free.
Unmistakably fresh and familiar, CPTG Certified Pure Tested Grade® Lemon essential oil offers many benefits and applications.
Most of the lemons sourced for Lemon essential oil are from the island of Sicily. Lemons in Italy can grow to be the size of softballs, thriving in the warm climate and fertile soil.
The essential oil comes from the fruit peel. Like many other citrus oils, Lemon is a byproduct of the fresh fruit industry. Fresh lemons that can’t be sold to the fresh market because of bruising or other aesthetic deficiencies are pressed for juice and essential oil, which are later separated. The juice and oil provide a dual use for leftover fruit.
Once called a forbidden fruit and one of the seven wonders of Barbados, grapefruit was first documented in 1750 by Welsh Reverend Griffith Hughes. The name grapefruit comes from the grape-like cluster in which the fruit grows.
Grapefruit essential oil can create an uplifting environment—ideal for motivating yourself throughout the day. The main chemical constituent of Grapefruit essential oil is limonene.
The Siberian firs are tall, pale conifers native to Russia and Canada. Bornyl acetate, the main chemical component of Siberian Fir oil, provides most of its benefits. Siberian Fir essential oil can be soothing to the skin, making it ideal for comforting massages. Siberian Fir oil is known for its calming, relaxing aroma.
Osmanthus—also referred known as “sweet olive”—is an evergreen Asian shrub from the same family as jasmine. Osmanthus has been cultivated in China for over 2,000 years. Its flowers are known for their calming, apricot-like scent, which is why they’re frequently used in perfuming sachets and tea additives.
Osmanthus essential oil is rich in β-Ionone, which belongs to a group of compounds often referred to as rose ketones because of their presence in a variety of floral oils (especially Rose essential oil).
Melissa officinalis, also known as lemon balm, received the name melissa because of its sweet, fresh, and citrus-like fragrance, which was known to attract bees (melissa is Greek for “honeybee”).
A highly sought-after oil, Melissa essential oil has a wide range of benefits and uses. Melissa oil is used as a flavor in teas and ice cream and is sometimes used in fish dishes. Melissa essential oil is known for creating a relaxing, comforting environment.
