Meg O’Sullivan is a doTERRA Leader rising up and shining her light, recently hitting the Rank of Diamond in July. In this September Feature of our B2B Article we have the pleasure of sharing Meg’s doTERRA story with you.
Meg was first introduced to the oils by her beautiful friend Karla, who had been using the oils for a while. Karla would effortlessly whip out her doTERRA essential oils for her and her friends to wear and smell each time they would catch up. Meg had no idea what the essential oils were at the time but knew they smelt amazing.
One day when they were road tripping from the Gold Coast to Byron Bay to watch a gig, Meg asked her to share more about the oils. For the whole trip Karla spoke about the oils powers and benefits. Once they reached Byron Bay she felt she needed to bring these oils into her life! A week later she had her first Home Essential Kit delivered to her door.
Throughout her doTERRA journey Meg has continually been blown away by her own experience with the essential oils & also watching other people in the community integrate doTERRA oils into their life and home.
Before her doTERRA Business, Meg had always been very passionate and interested in self-help and self-development. She says, “I was of the belief that I didn’t need anything other than my own mind to help me feel good and be the best version of me. And I was right! But what I learnt when I invited dōTERRA into my life is that they made this journey EASIER - so much easier! They make showing up in the world as the human I desire to be so much simpler. I’m no longer putting so much pressure on myself to “think my way” into feeling good. Now, I “sniff my way” to feeling good.”
Meg believes that we could all be the best version of ourselves without oils. However she says, “Without the oils it would be way harder and much less fun. The simplicity of these oils & their ability to shift my state never ceases to amaze me. Watching others experience & live this out is one of my greatest joys!”
In July Meg’s community created Diamond together. “It was the most incredible month of collaboration, connection & community. The month transformed me. As a leader. As a woman. As a business owner.”
Meg shares her three key ingredients to really bringing this desire to life, to inspire and empower others to do the same and fulfill their vision.
Declaring & calling people into THE VISION.
“At the beginning of the month my man, Jacob, and I just felt it. We just knew July was to be our Diamond month and so we started declaring it. We connected with all our leaders and invited them into our vision.
We declared it on social media & invited our communities to support us. I made sure my family & those close to me knew what we were creating. I gave them the option of helping us by either hosting a class or simply by holding the vision & cheering us on.
What I learnt is that people really want to help you soar - they truly do. But they can only do this when they know how they can support you. Reach out and be clear on what those around you can do to support your creation. Whether that’s your leaders, customers, family, friends, partner, children.
Whether it’s holding classes, purchasing oils or helping you hold a vision, every little bit counts.”
Holding THE VISION.
“Once we declared the vision we knew that in order to bring it to life we had to keep holding it, keep believing in it, keep nourishing it with our knowingness. Every day I would wake up and whilst still in bed feel what DIAMOND was going to feel like. I didn’t allow myself to belief there was any other option. The only outcome was Diamond in July 2018. My community felt this. When they slipped into doubt or disbelief - I didn’t follow. I acknowledged how they felt and what they were moving through.
All month long I communicated with my energy, my words and my action to the Universe & everyone around me that Diamond was happening. When you sit in such unwavering knowingness - this is when the unexpected “miracles” occur. This is when those last minute kits fly in because your energy calls them in!”
Do things you’ve never done before.
“You’ve got to do things you’ve never done to experience something you’ve never experienced.
This was my motto for the month. It helped me really lean into discomfort and stretch myself beyond what I thought was possible. I knew I needed to meet my business in a brand new way in order to experience a brand new rank. I don’t think it’s possible any other way. Every single one of my leaders stepped up and leaned into discomfort in their own beautifully, magical way. For some it was overcoming a fear of sharing on social media. For others it was moving past the fear of failure. It was so magical to watch on as my leaders did this. And also so magical to experience a new version of myself as I stepped up and leaned in too.”
“For the first 18 months of having my oils, I knew the business was there but was always too scared to do anything about it. The desire to share the oils was there, but the resistance was so strong that I didn’t ever allow myself to truly dream about what life in this business would look/ feel like. As soon as I gave myself permission to truly give this a shot, as soon as I allowed myself to envision myself as a Diamond Leader, this business flowed! The belief comes first. If you are sharing these oils and building this business but don’t have a belief that you can succeed or make it work, you won’t.”
Staying motivated comes naturally and effortlessly for Meg as her favourite way to ignite her inner fire is having conversations with her lover, Jacob. “We speak about our dreams and visions, speaking aloud what we are creating and why we are creating always fuels the fire within. I have so much fun talking about what’s to come, as if it’s already here. Allowing myself to dream is what truly keeps me motivated. I love rippling the energy over to my leaders. Having these conversations with them and encouraging them to have them with their nearest & dearest. I can always count on InTune to keep me motivated too!”
Every morning Meg starts her day with Easy Air. A drop in the palm and then some slow deep breaths, followed by alternate nostril breathing. “It is the first oil I use when I jump out of bed and the best way to meet the day!”
Vetiver is one of Meg’s most loved oils and those in her community know how much she adores this oil. “From the moment I smelt this oil, I have felt a very deep connection. I put one drop of Vetiver onto my big toe at night and massage it in. I also pop a few drops in the diffuser alongside Lavender Peace. I find I have the deepest and most profound sleeps and dreams when I use this oil.”
