Origin: a Latin derivative
meaning "Gift of the Earth."
Human trafficking is happening all over the world, including in North America, on a regular basis. The horrors of this practice can cause damage to its victims—sometimes beyond repair. The importance of preventing human trafficking and protecting and rehabilitating the affected women and children is beyond description.
Various organizations have created perpetual and sustainable efforts to act as ambassadors and allies of human trafficking victims. Some have formed in-depth education and training programs for hotel or airport staff, local communities, schools, and more. Other organizations are committed to rescuing victims and convicting perpetrators, and some have established rehabilitation centers for those rescued. Every piece of this effort is noble and needed.
Thousands of lives have changed because of anti-human trafficking efforts. As support of these organizations continues, thousands more will be protected, saved, and given the care they desperately need. The doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation™ is grateful to be a partner in this valiant fight for innocence and humanity.
