Fresh-Forest Foaming Hand Wash

As soon as a chill hits the air, our seasonal winter décor comes out of the wood works (no pun intended). Scents around the home switch from springtime florals to winter pine, making the space cozy and warm. In our recent efforts to spruce up our space, we came up with a lightly moisturizing and piney do it yourself foaming hand wash that’s going to be a seasonal staple around the home. 

Making your own do it yourself hand soap is surprisingly easy—in fact, you probably already have most of the ingredients on hand. We’re using our exclusive Northern Escape oil to scent this soap, but we’ll leave you a few other suggestions for wintertime aromas as well. 

Ingredients:

• 2 tablespoons unscented liquid Castile soap
• 1 tablespoon Fractionated Coconut Oil
• 10 drops Northern Escape oil*
• Water
• Foaming hand wash pumps (try our On Guard Foaming Hand Wash Dispenser)

*Alternatively, use equal drops Black Spruce oil and Grapefruit oil or Siberian Fir oil and Arborvitae oil.

​​​​​​​Instructions:

1. Pour the Castile soap and Fractionated Coconut Oil into your foaming hand wash bottle, then add the Northern Escape oil or other essential oils of choice.
2. Slowly add water into the bottle, making sure to leave room at the top for the foaming pump.
3. Add the pump, shake, and find a cute place to put your foaming hand wash.
4. When ready to use, add one to two pumps to your hands and wash with warm water for 20 seconds.
