The ZenGest Essential Oil Blend is specially formulated with soothing essential oil aromas and flavors. Its aroma is designed for use in comforting abdominal massages, and the blend can also be used as a light and gentle flavoring for beverages. ZenGest oil can be taken internally, applied topically, and used aromatically.
What is ZenGest used for?
The doTERRA ZenGest essential oil blend has a soothing aroma and a sweet, light flavor that can be used aromatically, topically, and internally. ZenGest is good for adding a calm aroma to comforting abdominal massages, giving water and tea a gentle taste, and diffusing a soothing aroma into the air.
Take ZenGest internally or apply it topically after meals, at the start of a big day, or during long road trips and flights. ZenGest blend is known for its aroma and flavor, so try diluting one drop in a glass of water or tea for a gentle, soothing flavor or rub it onto the stomach for a calming aroma. Experiment with incorporating it into your routine in a way that works for you! As an alternative to using the ZenGest oil blend internally, you can also take a ZenGest Softgel once a day, or as needed.
Additionally, ZenGest oil is available as doTERRA Touch® ZenGest ®, a 10 mL bottle of pre-diluted ZenGest that makes it convenient and simple to apply ZenGest oil topically. Aside from being convenient, doTERRA Touch ZenGest is an excellent option for children or those with sensitive skin. You can use ZenGest blend on its own, or use it alongside our other ZenGest products.
The new and improved ZenGest formula
At doTERRA, we are committed to continuous essential oil research and improving our products accordingly. Emerging research has led us to an exciting reformulation of ZenGest essential oil blend, which is intended to provide better efficacy, aroma, and flavor.
So, what’s new with the ZenGest formula? The updated formula includes nearly all of the same essential oils as before with the new addition of Cardamom essential oil—a powerful essential oil aroma and flavor that beautifully complements the rest of the essential oils in the ZenGest blend. Additionally, we have adjusted the amount of each essential oil in the blend to accommodate for our research, which shows benefits for giving Ginger oil, Coriander oil, and Peppermint oil more prominent roles in the blend.
What essential oils are in ZenGest?
ZenGest is a proprietary essential oil blend of Peppermint oil, Ginger oil, Cardamom oil, Caraway oil, Anise oil, Coriander oil, and Fennel oil. These essential oils are known for their supportive and soothing aromas and their light, comforting flavors. Together, they create a powerhouse essential oil blend for topical, aromatic, and internal use.
Peppermint oil is one of the most popular essential oils out there, and for good reason. Internal use of Peppermint oil offers a soft, minty flavor and its aroma has crisp, invigorating undertones. Commonly used for its cooling topical sensation and its memorable scent, Peppermint oil is one of the key essential oils in the ZenGest blend.
New to the blend, Cardamom essential oil has a warm, fruity aroma that helps create an invigorating environment. A relative to ginger and known as the “Queen of Spices,” Cardamom essential oil has a multitude of benefits making it an essential addition to the ZenGest blend.
Coriander oil, well known for its cool, fresh flavor in cooking, is included in ZenGest for its topical cleansing properties and soothing aroma when applied topically or used aromatically.
Ginger oil is distilled from the ginger rhizome, which is often used as a cooking spice. But Ginger essential oil is so much more—its warm aroma creates a soothing environment and its gentle, spiced taste gives a comforting flavor to both foods and beverages.
Caraway oil has been used since Ancient Egypt, with written evidence dating its use to at least 1550 BC. Caraway essential oil is distilled from the seeds of a sweetly scented herb in the carrot family, and has a clean, herbaceous aroma and flavor.
Sweet and sophisticated, Anise essential oil is often added to baked goods and liquors because of its distinct licorice-like flavor and aroma. It is a unique essential oil, being steam distilled from the dried anise fruits, and is commonly taken internally in teas and beverages.
Like Anise oil, Fennel essential oil has a licorice-like aroma and flavor. Fennel oil is commonly used in topical abdominal massages for its sweet, gentle scent and is often added to baked goods and drinks for a soft, delicious taste.
