INTRODUCTIONWe all love a healthy snack with a good crunch. Just the right amount of sweet and salty, plus a twist of fortifying On Guard® flavor, and you’ve got a seasonal treat everyone will be reaching for. These On Guard Pretzel sticks work just as well in goody bags and gift wrapping as they do on a desert tray—just don’t forget to keep a few for yourself!
SUPPLIES
- 24 large pretzel rods
- 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 1 tsp. coconut oil
- 2-4 drops On Guard essential oil
Topping Suggestions: Coconut shavings, crushed nuts, or peppermint bits. INSTRUCTIONS
- In a glass or ceramic bowl, add the chocolate morsels and coconut oil.
- Fill a saucepan (one that is small enough that your glass or ceramic bowl will sit comfortably on top) with a few inches of water and bring to a soft boil. Reduce to medium heat to maintain a simmer. Place the bowl of chocolate onto the boiling water to make a double boiler and mix until the chocolate is melted and smooth.
- Remove melted chocolate from the stovetop and add the essential oil.
- Dip pretzel rods into the chocolate, then roll or sprinkle on any desired toppings.
- Place the decorated pretzel rods on a baking sheet lined with waxed paper and allow to cool completely.
