Like you, we’re starting to gear up for summer! There’s nothing like a refreshing sip of an ice cold drink as the weather starts to heat up, and it’s even better if you know the drink is good for you. This Spring Green Juice is one of our favorite essential oil recipes for the season—it’s herbaceous, health-forward, and beautifully bright green. There’s no way to go wrong! The juice blend features Cilantro essential oil for a zingy, bright taste perfectly reminiscent of a beautiful Spring morning. If you didn’t like green juice before, this one will likely change your mind.

Ingredients

  • 3 kale leaves
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 1 lime
  • 1 apple (we like Honeycrisp, but use what you have!)
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 drop Cilantro essential oil

Instructions

This recipe is as simple as throwing your ingredients into a juicer—our kitchen tool of choice. If you don’t have a juicer, don’t fret. You can also make this juice in a blender by taking a few extra steps!

Juicing

  1. Combine all ingredients, except the Cilantro essential oil, in a juicer.
  2. Juice ingredients and add Cilantro essential oil. The essential oil comes through very strongly, so we just suggest using a single drop, but this is your juice! Add more Cilantro essential oil to taste, if you’d like.

Blending

  1. Peel your lime, core your apple, and de-stem your kale.
  2. Add prepared fruits and vegetables, along with remaining ingredients, to the blender pitcher.
  3. Bled on the high setting until the juice is homogenous and smooth.
  4. Pass through a fine mesh sieve to extract juice, or drink as a smoothie!

Spring green is one of our favorite colors, especially if it comes in a fresh, cold cup. Make the recipe, post it on Instagram or Facebook, and tag us (@doterraca)! We want to see what you do with this recipe!
