Royal by nature and deemed as the “King of Flowers,” Jasmine essential oil is prized for its floral fragrance, especially in the perfume industry. The tiny but mighty jasmine flowers are used to create doTERRA Touch® Jasmine , which combines Fractionated Coconut Oil with jasmine absolute in a convenient roller, making it easy to carry this regal aroma anywhere with you for use on-the-go. This highly fragrant absolute expertly preserves the delicate chemistry of the jasmine flowers, which can richly benefit the skin or be worn as your own sweet, pleasing, romantic personal fragrance. Whether you incorporate it into your skincare routine or wear it for a night out, doTERRA Touch Jasmine is sure to fit perfectly in your floral essential oils collection.
To produce three pounds of jasmine absolute, it takes roughly one ton of jasmine flowers. For each ton, the harvesters have to collect a total of 6,000,000 flowers.
Jasmine Jasminum is a type of shrub that bears highly fragrant, small white flowers. Due to their delicate nature, the blossoms must be harvested by hand in the early morning hours, as the Jasmine flower produces its highest-quality aromatic compounds before the sun rises. Because of the delicacy of the flower petals, Jasmine oil cannot be steam distilled. Instead, the essence is formed into an absolute, which is similar to essential oils, but they are extracted in a different way. An absolute requires the wax and paraffin need to be separated out from the volatile aromatic compounds to make the final product more potent. The Jasmine oil used to create doTERRA Touch Jasmine is harvested in Egypt.
The flower-like aroma of doTERRA Touch Jasmine pairs well with several other floral scents including doTERRA Touch® Rose , doTERRA Touch® Magnolia, doTERRA Touch® Lavender Touch and doTERRA Touch Neroli. Earthy aromas such as Cedarwood oil and Vetiver oil also pair nicely with this floral scent.
