Visually beautiful and distinctive, the jasmine flower is associated with love and romance. For the first time in essential oil history, a process has been developed by doTERRA sourcing partners to transform the delicate flower into a pure essential oil. The result is an enchanting floral aroma that captivates the senses, exquisitely capturing the essence of the flower as it blooms
Beautifully distinct from the scent of doTERRA Touch® Jasmine, which is derived from jasmine absolute, the aroma of doTERRA Jasmine essential oil is sweet, floral, fresh, and new. With deeply calming and relaxing notes, Jasmine oil can be diffused or inhaled to enhance meditation and create an atmosphere that is elevating and inspiring. Used topically, Jasmine oil promotes healthy-looking, glowing skin and can give skin and hair a nourished, revitalized appearance. To capture both the aromatic and topical uses of Jasmine at once, add a drop to a calming bath or a soothing massage.
This steam distilled extraction of Jasmine essential oil is the first of its kind and can’t be found commercially anywhere else in the world!
Historically, a multi-step extraction method has been the only way to capture the aromatic essence of the jasmine flower. This complex process separates the volatiles from the waxes and resins, with the final product being what is called an absolute. Steam distillation has never been an option due to the delicate nature of the jasmine petals.
However, after decades of research, one of the key doTERRA sourcing partners has discovered a way to successfully extract the pure and natural essential oil of jasmine flowers through steam distillation on a small commercial scale. Due to the special relationship doTERRA has with this seasoned artisan from Egypt, doTERRA has an exclusive opportunity to unveil the world’s first steam-distilled jasmine essential oil.
The pure-white jasmine flower is as lovely as it is delicate. Each small blossom has roughly five fragile and fragrant petals of the brightest white and can bloom all year long. These blossoms grow along the plant’s rich, green, vinelike boughs, which thrive in the subtropical and tropical regions across the continents of Europe, Asia, and even Australia.
Jasmine essential oil blends well with most essential oils but provides a particularly harmonious aromatic note when blended with ones such as Cedarwood oil, Rose oil, Sandalwood oil, Vetiver oil, and Ylang Ylang oil.
