Extracted from a tall, limber evergreen tree, Siberian Fir essential oil has a refreshing, woody scent that is known for its calming and relaxing aroma. Siberian Fir has a unique chemical composition that gives it a very soothing sensation when applied to the skin, making it an ideal essential oil to add to a comforting massage or a naturally sourced skincare routine. Diffusing this invigorating aroma can welcome the crisp serenity of the forest into your home, or wherever else you find yourself.
Can you tell the difference between pine and fir trees? If needles are rounded and grow in groups of two, three, or five you are likely looking at a pine tree. If the needles are flat and grow single-file along the stem, it’s a fir tree.
The Siberian fir tree is a tall conifer tree native to Russia and Canada. The Siberian fir needles are soft, flat, light green in color, and give off a strong, piney aroma. The tree can grow to be 30-35 meters tall and can live up to 200 years. To create this refreshing and calming Siberian Fir essential oil, harvesters collect the needles and twigs. Both components are then steam distilled.
With a fresh, woody scent, Siberian Fir essential oil blends well with other refreshing oils like Peppermint oil, Spearmint oil, Wintergreen oil, and Douglas Fir oil. It also blends well with warm spice essential oils like Cinnamon Bark oil or Ginger oil.
