Description

Why should I add Melissa essential oil to my collection? Like other floral essential oils, Melissa essential oil is an excellent addition to skincare routines for its soothing and refreshing effect on the skin. However, Melissa essential oil is unique to floral essential oils (and other essential oils generally) for its especially fortifying taste and particularly soothing aroma.

Uses

Cosmetic
  • Apply one drop Melissa oil to facial cleanser during a skincare routine to promote clean skin.
  • Apply one drop Melissa oil to back of forehead, shoulders, or chest for a relaxing aroma.
  • Add Melissa oil to daily moisturizer to give skin a refreshed-looking appearance.
  • Dilute two to three drops Melissa oil with between five and ten drops Fractionated Coconut Oil and apply to legs before and after exercise for a soothing aroma.
Food
  • Add one to two drops Melissa oil to herbal tea for a citrus-like, fortifying flavor.
Household
  • Diffuse three to four drops Melissa oil for a calming aroma at home.
  • Add three drops Melissa oil to a spray bottle with water and use as a surface cleanser on household surfaces.

Directions for Use

Diffusion: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.
Internal use: Dilute one drop in 120 mL of liquid.
Topical use: Apply one to two drops to desired area. Dilute with a carrier oil to minimize any skin sensitivity.

Possible skin sensitivity. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas.
