Running a dōTERRA Class

You’re a doTERRA Wellness Advocate, you’ve already enroled a few of your family and friends, but you’re not ready to stop there just yet. If you’re ready to take your business to the next level, then running a class is a great way to meet new people, talk about the passion you have for oils and potentially grow your team! Follow doTERRA’s PIPES strategy to ensure you expand your WHY while getting the most out of hosting your doTERRA classes.

1. Prepare: Before you start to share doTERRA, take a moment and think about your WHY. It gives you permission to dream bigger than ever before and inspire others to join you in your movement to change the world. Hosting a class is a great way to share your WHY. The day before your class is scheduled to run, make sure you have all your resources ready to go. Have a couple of laptops on hand just in case people are ready to enrol after your class. Use checklists to help keep you on track, delegate to others if you need help and always track your progress.  
    
2. Invitation: As you look to invite, attract, and work with business partners of high caliber, look within yourself and ask how can I improve to be the very best version of me? How can I attract strong business partners? We are constantly surrounded by people everyday: at work, gym or the supermarket. Many of them are strangers, so how can you approach and invite them to your class? 
   
   Make sure you keep the request direct. E.g. say “I’d like to invite you to a class I’m running about essential oils”. This might sound strange in your head but in reality you’re getting straight to the point. The class is introduced in a simple way so that people can give a straight yes or no answer.
   
   Carry doTERRA essential oils and invitations with you. The essential oils are a great conversation starter and can help spark curiosity in others. This can help the person wanting to learn and know more about the essential oils. Invitations are handy when you do end up meeting someone who is interested in attending your class, you can provide them with all the details right away. 
    
3. Presenting & Enroling: Now that you’ve done the hard work of getting people to and preparing for your class, this is where the fun begins. A great way to start is to share your doTERRA experience E.g. how you came to know about doTERRA and what made you decide you want to turn it into a business. People will want to know why you chose doTERRA and your experience could help them make their decision. 
   
   When the presentation is done you can let your guest sample the oils or have a DIY essential oil making station where they can create their own blends. This is a great way for your guests to learn more about the essential oils and how they can be used. If you have guests that are ready to enrol, have a chat to them about what they are looking for in the business. Listen with an intention to serve their best interests.
    
4. Support: Building relationships is key to your doTERRA business, therefore once your class is over, give it a few days and follow up with your guests. Make sure they have everything they need and answer any questions they have. Don’t let the fear of bothering someone get in your way. If you follow up the right way (e.g. call to ask if they’ve used the product) then this can help you enrol more people.
