Section 3: Code of Ethics

doTERRA expects and requires its independent sales force to conduct themselves in accordance with the highest standards of ethical behavior. doTERRA Wellness Advocates are expected to practice the following ethical behavior when introducing people to, and representing the Company and its products. Violations of the Code of Ethics may subject the Wellness Advocate to disciplinary action by the Company depending on the materiality of the violation. The following standards help ensure a uniform standard of excellence throughout the doTERRA organization. All Wellness Advocates should:

1. Be respectful of every person while conducting doTERRA related business.
2. Conduct themselves and their business activities in an ethical, moral, legal and financially honest manner. Wellness Advocates should not engage in activities and behaviour that would bring disrespect or embarrassment to doTERRA, its corporate officers, employees, themselves, or other Wellness Advocates.
3. Refrain from making negative or disparaging statements about doTERRA, other companies, their employees, or their products
4. Refrain from making negative or disparaging statements about other doTERRA Wellness Advocates.
5. Be truthful in representations of doTERRA products and provide accurate and complete information to the prospective consumer regarding the prices, return polices, terms of payment and other explanations as prescribed by doTERRA India from time to time. Do not make diagnostic, therapeutic, curative or exaggerated claims.
6. Give support and encouragement to customers to ensure that their experience with doTERRA is meaningful and rewarding. Wellness Advocates should provide proper support and training to those they sponsor and who are in their Organization.
7. Accurately teach and represent the doTERRA Sales Compensation Plan. Be honest in explaining the income one may earn under the Sales Compensation Plan. Wellness Advocates should not use their own income as an indication of another’s potential success, or use compensation checks as marketing materials.
8. Abide by all of doTERRA policies and procedures as they are currently found in this Policy Manual and the other Contract documents, and as they may be amended in the future.
9. Carry their identity cards issued to them by doTERRA India while conducting and representing the doTERRA business before the customers shall clearly identify themselves as doTERRA Wellness Advocates.
10. Visit the customer’s premises at reasonable business hours and by taking prior appointment from the customer by sharing the purpose of visit to the prospects and should not give a wrong impression by sharing doTERRA business opportunity as an employment opportunity.
11. Provide his/her complete details to the customers at the time of making the sale as to the name, address, Wellness Advocate number, telephone number, etc.
12. Give the invoice with the details like product name, quantity and price of the products sold to the prospect.
13. Inform the prospects/customers about his/her right to return the doTERRA product(s) as per the doTERRA refund policy stated in section 6 of this policy manual and also about the complaint redressal mechanism followed by doTERRA India.
14. Not sell, display or conduct doTERRA business activity through retail stores or permanent retail outlet in any manner.
15. Always make actual and potential sales or earnings and advantages of doTERRA business opportunity and not to use misleading, deceptive and/or unfair trade practices in their interaction with customers or potential Wellness Advocates.
16. Disclose true and complete information to prospective Wellness Advocates pertaining to doTERRA business opportunity including but not limited to the enrollment procedure, Sales compensation plan and the contract and not make any exaggerated representation regarding dōTERRA business opportunity or make any promise that cannot be fulfilled.
