Irish Tea Foot Soaks

  • 1 1/2 cups Epsom salts
  • 1/2 cup rock salt
  • 6 Irish breakfast tea bags
  • 2 tablespoons baking soda
  • 10 drops Lavender essential oil
  • 2 teaspoons doTERRA Fractionated Coconut Oil
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • Clover-shaped cookie cutter
  • 1 drop green soap coloring (optional)
  • Glass, ceramic, or metal mixing bowl and spoon
  • Tray lined with grease-proof paper

Instructions:

  1. Add Epsom salt, rock salts, and baking soda to a non-plastic bowl and mix well. Cut open tea bags and add the dry content to salts and baking soda mixture.
  2. Add wet ingredients to bowl and stir until fully incorporated. Your mixture should be damp but not so soggy that the salt starts to dissolve.
  3. Place a clover-shaped cookie cutter on the top left of your paper-lined tray and fill it with the salt mixture. Fill the cookie cutter all the way to the top.
  4. Pack your salt mixture down level with the rim of the cookie cutter, and then slowly and carefully lift the cookie cutter to reveal a formed foot soak cake.
  5. Continue filling the cookie cutter along the paper-lined tray until you run out of salt mixture. Set your cakes aside to dry overnight, then flip them over to dry for another 24 hours.

Directions for Use:

Fill a bucket or foot spa halfway with boiling water. Drop two foot soak cakes into the water and allow to steep for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Fill the bucket or foot spa the rest of the way with cold water and begin your relaxing and soothing foot soak.
