The long-awaited reunion with global sourcing partners and their communities is back. doTERRA leaders can again experience sourcing firsthand, learning from our Sourcing team and the distillers, farmers, and harvesters with whom we work, and giving back in doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation^® social impact projects.

About Co-Impact Sourcing Trips:

Along with supplying the highest-quality essential oils, doTERRA is committed to making a positive difference in the lives of the farmers, harvesters, and distillers who contribute to our production. We source our essential oils from over 40 countries—more than half of which are considered lower-income countries. To empower small-scale farmers and harvesters in disadvantaged areas, doTERRA created Co-Impact Sourcing initiatives.

Co-Impact Sourcing develops long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with producers and sustainable jobs with reliable income in underdeveloped areas. doTERRA is committed to ethically collaborating with our sourcing network by providing on-time payments at fair prices. Growers and harvesters are encouraged to form cooperative groups to share collective benefits and bargaining power, while also improving skills and capacity.

The doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation also funds and provides resources for social-impact projects to improve lives in the communities where essential oils are sourced.

A Co-Impact Sourcing (CIS) Trip is 5-7 days of non-stop adventure. We fill each day with tours, harvesting, safaris, and most importantly, community interactions and service. You will be accompanied by members of the doTERRA Corporate team, sourcing experts, skilled tour operators and more. A CIS Trip is a masterclass into doTERRA’s sourcing process.

Leader Led Trips

There are other ways to immerse yourself in a doTERRA sourcing location, other than a Co-Impact Sourcing Trip. Diamond Leaders can host a trip of their own in a doTERRA sourcing location, something we call a “Leader-Led Trip.” Right now, there are two available options for these Leader-Led trips:

Kenya—sourcing location for geranium, tea tree, thyme, and more

Hawaii—sourcing location for Hawaiian sandalwood and naio wood

There are several differences between a Co-Impact Sourcing Trip and a Leader-Led trip. The most obvious difference is that the latter is truly led by the leader, so the agenda is flexible and can adapt to what matters most to, and the pace and style, of each group. This means there is time for team building, masterminding, oil technique training, relaxing, sightseeing, or many other options! While these trips won’t be accompanied by doTERRA staff, the doTERRA sourcing team on the ground will be able to provide tours of sourcing locations and/or factories on one day during the trip.
