Part 2: Plant Structure

Plants are divided into two basic sections: the roots and the shoots. The roots are located below ground and the shoots are located above ground. A plant’s shoot system includes the stem, leaves, flowers, fruit, and seeds. Essential oils are derived from nearly every part of the plant.
