dōTERRA Donates to Support the Conscious Connections Foundation

The Conscious Connections Foundation is a completely volunteer based nonprofit organization that focuses on opening doors for girls to receive education and healthcare. The foundation achieves this goal primarily through their scholarship program. This program provides 180 girls in Nepal, all of which are a part of low income families, with scholarships for an education.

 

On March 8, 2015, the Conscious Connections Foundation held a special event in Kathmandu, Nepal to honor their scholarship recipients. In order to show support for this special event, the doTERRA Healing Hands Foundation™ donated a gift for each of the girls to further honor them.

 

Not only does this foundation help promote education in Nepal, but soon after their scholarship event took place, a devastating earthquake struck Nepal, and the Conscious Connections Foundation was there to help. As a result of the earthquake, the Nepalese people were stuck with limited resources to survive and were faced with higher possibilities of obtaining viruses and infections. The contamination of water and food in the land were especially risks for viruses and infections such as hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and typhoid fever.¹ In order to help the Nepalese avoid starvation or additional health risks like infections and viruses, the Conscious Connections Foundation provided over 200 families in multiple villages with food and shelter for a month.²

 

In addition to their earthquake relief efforts, they are helping to rebuild the rural clinic in Baseri, Nepal, a clinic that they originally helped to build and supply in 2010. After the earthquake, the clinic was in shambles, but the supplies that were dug out of the clinic were used to help many people receive the medical attention they needed. The Conscious Connections Foundation’s efforts have sustained many individuals and without a doubt changed lives.
