When Vera Taylor and Kathy Brooke accompanied by several other Australian families, headed to Demazong Academy in Sikkim, India, with over 440 pounds of computers, books, and school supplies, some of their most precious cargo came in 15mL and 5mL bottles.
Demazong Academy is located in the Indian State of Sikkim and is bordered by the Himalayas to the north, Nepal to the East, and Bhutan in the West. Pema Buhtia, the Principal of the Demazong Academy, opened the school in his own home seven years ago with 10 students. That number has now grown to 120 students. Currently, 20 students are hostel students who live at the school full time and whose tuition and living costs are paid for by sponsors in other countries. Vera’s team sponsored 11 of those children. The purpose of their trip was to visit the school and spend some time with their sponsor children.
Vera took the Family Physician Kit as a gift for the school, which was immediately put to use. Every morning and night, children in need inhaled Breathe essential oil and had it applied to their noses, handkerchiefs, and pillows.
“We also took oils for our own protection and use, but we were soon giving anything we had to the teachers and children who needed them more than we did. We saw daily the benefits and improvements the oils were making in the children, the teachers, and the community.”
“doTERRA essential oils have made a huge impact on this little school. The oils are now used religiously morning and night. The kids at the school called it the magic oil! There is such need—not just in this school, but in the surrounding area.”
