As the director of clinical research at dōTERRA, she leads groundbreaking studies focusing on essential oil biochemistry and its applications in human health. With a robust educational background including a doctorate in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Miami, Nicole holds several certifications in clinical research and medical assistance.

Taylor Mackay

Sr. Director, Strategic Sourcing (Africa)

Taylor MacKay works with dōTERRA as the Sr. Director of Strategic Sourcing (Africa). In this role, he oversees the essential oil supply chains within the region and works closely with dōTERRA’s sourcing partners to ensure the ongoing supply of dōTERRA’s pure and natural essential oils.

With over 15 years of experience spanning both the non-profit and for-profit sectors, Taylor has a passion for effecting positive change at the intersection of business and social impact.

Originally from the United States, Taylor has lived and worked in Uganda, Paraguay, India and currently lives in Kenya with his wife and two children.

Taylor has a bachelor’s degree in accounting, a certificate in Social Impact Strategy from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the University of Oxford.

Addison Shurtz brings over a decade of dōTERRA experience to his role as General Manager. Addison has been pivotal during key growth phases for dōTERRA in the United States, Canada and now in various parts of Africa. In 2020, he led a challenging opening of the South African market, demonstrating a commitment to the brand and power of essential oils, even amidst global uncertainty.

Holding a bachelor’s degree in business management from Utah Valley University, Addison is skilled in strategic planning and leadership, with a focus on building a strong, positive team culture. His approach is underpinned by a personal dedication to sharing his health journey of essential oils.

Married with three children, Addison's leadership and achievements are not just a testament to his professional capability but also to his role as a committed family man, balancing a demanding career with a vibrant personal life.
